the better lips talk lipstick is a bullet lipstick with quite a shiny satin finish, that can be easily blotted to a matte texture, or topped with gloss for an even more glossy finish. i usually hate satin lipsticks, but this one is not so bad – it doesn’t have too much of that waxy or latex-y feel or look; the finish is almost watery (though it doesn’t really show up in this swatch), and it adheres to the lips quite well without much smudging. i find it relatively moisturizing, though i usually end up blotting them to a matte. i had the caps engraved at my local etude house, but have turned them over so they aren’t visible.

pk012 rose mocha is a medium-deep pink with some plum tones; it has a distinctive colour but isn’t too bright, so it’s still pretty easy to wear. it works great as an inner lip gradient in tandem with other softer pinks. i find it somehow doesn’t translate as deep on my lips as it does in this swatch.
